Born Naked, Will Die Naked: A Reflection on True Nature of Life
And What will be Left of You When You Die?
Help me make it easier for others to find this publication by hitting the ❤️ or 🔁 at the top or bottom. Thank you!
You came into this world naked.
You will leave it naked.
You arrived weak, fragile, dependent.
You will depart in the same way—weak and dependent on the help of others.
Your first meal? Someone fed you.
Your last meal? Someone will feed you.
Your first bath? Somebody washed you.
Your last bath? Somebody will wash you.
So why is there so much hate, selfishness, envy, and resentment?
Why cling so tightly to this world's fleeting and material things?
The idea of life without struggling to accumulate things is depressing to most. But the truth is we fight to accumulate possessions for our whole life. We did not bring those things when we were born, and we will not take them when we die!
In the end, the only thing that truly matters is not what you have but what you have realized.
Have you realized God within yourself yet?
You wonder how you can awaken the divine power that resides within you?….
God resides within you as your inner being.
Your primary purpose on this earth is to awaken to that inner truth.
To awaken to our true nature is spiritual enlightenment.
We spend our lives chasing external things, but none of them will bring lasting peace or fulfillment.
Real peace comes from within—from the deep knowing that you are more than the body, more than the mind, more than the transient world around you.
You are an eternal awareness behind all your life experiences.
What truly endures, what will accompany you on your journey beyond this earthly life, is
The love you shared.
The compassion you showed,
The humility you embodied,
The gratitude you expressed,
The help you offered,
The kindness you extended—these are the treasures that remain in your eternal realm.
When we live in alignment with these qualities, that is, our true nature, we dissolve the ego and awaken to the interconnectedness of all life.
Then there is “no others” for us.
To be awake is to realize that you are not separate from anyone or anything. We are one with everything and everybody. It is called “union with the divine.”
We have such a short time on this Earth.
Don’t waste it on temporary pleasures or possessions—focus on what truly matters: love and awakening to your true nature. Then, everything from your external world will be added to you, which is required for your evolution.
Surrender your mind to inner Being and Rest in Being.
What will be left of you when you die?
Have you seen a dash, two inches long, between the date of birth and date of death on people's gravestones?
That is what is left of all our “fearing and wanting” associated with our problematic lives.
This truth is depressing to some people, but it is liberating for you if you are awakened to your true nature.
