I once thought having a lot of money would make me happy
Growing up in a poor neighborhood in an Indian city, I believed that having a lot of money, a fleet of cars, a collection of luxurious properties, and looking good would bring me happiness.
I hustled and owned real estate companies in Dubai, Singapore, and Malaysia. I had private mansions on Palm Island in Dubai. I drove a luxury Audi SUV and other extravagant cars and wore fine clothing, yet I was miserable.
After a spiritual awakening, I rest my mind in my inner Being, do spiritual work, and currently drive my wife’s scooter in Mumbai, India.
I'm happier than ever.
The lifelong lesson is this: You define what wealth means.
To me, wealth means surrendering my mind inward in Being and letting the divinity take over my life and use my mind and body.

It is an eye opening to know what matters the most is not external possessions, but that resting in the inner being. This is the true possession one must hold. Getting to know this shift in you is very insightful. Thank you for sharing, Aby!
