Spiritual Awakening is NOT a Special Feeling, State, or Experience
Spiritual awakening is not a special feeling, state, or experience. It is not a goal or destination, somewhere to reach in the future. As the Buddha told us, it is not a superhuman achievement or attainment. Spiritual awakening is your natural state of felt oneness with Being. To have continuous awareness of Being and to abide in that state of “feeling-realization” is spiritual awakening.
When you experience the Joy of being or life itself, finding purpose and meaning in the outer realm is finding the light of a candle when you already are the Sun!
Spiritual Awakening Doesn’t Require Leaving the World
Spiritual awakening doesn't involve living in a cave or having an out-of-body experience. It can't be acquired from a spiritual teacher or detaching yourself from family life. You don't need to become a disciple of anyone nor detach yourself from the realities of this world.
Awakening is not a destination – It Is your birthright, your nature. Its what you ARE. The inner being itself.
Spiritual Awakening Doesn’t Make a Person Special
Enlightenment does not make a person special, and if someone feels special after achieving it, then they have not truly reached enlightenment. Many individuals believe they have achieved enlightenment simply because of a spiritual experience they had, and they boast about it to others. However, authentic enlightenment is quite ordinary and does not make a person more special; rather, it humbles them. When one achieves enlightenment, there is no one - no mind, to claim it, and the concept of someone being enlightened is an egoistic concept.
Do Not Desire Enlightenment
Don’t desire Enlightenment. I would say rather than becoming fixated on achieving enlightenment, it is essential to remain open and present to the gift of life itself. Embrace all of life's experiences, including the pain and joy, the ecstatic and overwhelming times, and the blissful and sorrowful occurrences. Remember that you are not separate from the Whole.
You are not a separate fragment suspended in the universe; rather, you are life itself and ONE with all other life—vast, awake, alive, and free.
