Your main purpose in life is to awaken. To live life fully means you experience every aspect of life by being fully aware and alert. Our life's purpose comprises Inner Purpose and Outer Purpose.
Inner Purpose: Your inner purpose is your main purpose. It is to bring awareness to whatever you do! Awareness is the power that is hidden within the present moment. That’s why it is called Presence. It does not concern what you do but what you are- that is to say, your state of awareness! Your main purpose is to bring that “power of awareness” into this world.
Outer Purpose: Your outer purpose is secondary and concerns anything you do outwardly. In that sense, your career or profession is your outer purpose. It can change over time and vary greatly from person to person.
To successfully achieve any outer purpose, you must first connect with your inner purpose. Then, only what you do outward becomes fulfilling.
How To Fulfill Your Main Purpose?
When you started on the spiritual path:
What was your inspiration to surrender and realize your inner essence?
What was your enthusiasm for becoming ONE with God?
This reminder and remembrance are NOT entangling in thoughts or creating new desires. Remember and remind yourself of this inspiration all day because we often forget. This remembrance might be taking just one conscious breath.
Sometimes Remembering = Taking-Just-One-Consious-Breath.
Your determination to surrender your mind inward and become ONE with God lies in the past. It is not visible now, as your mind has spoiled that commitment. You do not feel that inspiration NOW.
Hence, Remember-Remember-Remember your initial inspiration.
The effort of keeping your mind inward, the hard work, is in front of us—it is visible and feels difficult. The mind keeps telling us that through this effort, we haven’t achieved anything.
The mind says, “Oh no, this is too much hard work for you to surrender me inward. Make me free, and let’s think about all the things of the world.”
The mind's function is to produce thoughts and get lost in them.
The truth is Enlightenment is available at this moment once we surrender our minds inward.
You didn’t randomly start walking the spiritual path and decide to surrender within. Did you? Of course not!
To be drawn to the spiritual dimension, you must have deeply failed or experienced profound loss or pain. Perhaps your success became empty and meaningless, and thus it turned out to be an utter failure.
True or Not?
And after that, you never look towards the forms of the world to fulfill you. Before achieving anything, you know very well that it will not make you happy permanently anyway.
We’ve searched endlessly for fulfillment in this world of relationships, money, and fame, yet haven’t we often been left wanting, yearning for something deeper?
So, what will make you eternally happy? Your-Inner-Stillness. That’s it. The stillness you now fear is not an emptiness to avoid but the gateway to eternal joy.
If you surrender your mind inward, the outcome is profound: the realization of your true essence—the God within.
Let this truth guide you through doubt, gently reminding you of the inner calling to awaken. Surrender is not effort but grace unfolding.
Like a frightened child, the restless mind resists the stillness it cannot understand. Trust that this stillness is not to be feared—it is the doorway to the divine, the love, and the wholeness you seek.
