What if the deepest struggles of your mind—the fear, the unbearable restlessness, the endless identification with your thoughts—weren’t signs of failure but invitations to awaken?
What if all the suffering you experience is actually part of a divine journey, guiding you to your home inward to a truth far greater than the world of mental and physical forms?
Getting Lost in the Mental & Physical Forms
In humans today, consciousness has become so wrapped up in forms—our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, perceptions, identities, and worldly forms—that it forgets its true essence. The “identified consciousness” only sees itself as these forms and, because of that, lives in constant fear of losing them. This is the egoic mind, where a lot of dysfunction begins.
Initially, it may appear that evolution has taken a disastrous turn. However, this is also an aspect of the divine play, often called Lila.
Waking Up From Unconsiousness
Suffering brings Awakening. The suffering caused by this disconnection from our true nature eventually becomes so intense that it pushes “identified consciousness” to wake up.
This awakening brings us back to ourselves, but now with a deeper awareness. It’s like the parable of the prodigal son that Jesus told:
The son leaves his father’s home, squanders all his wealth, and hits rock bottom. Only through his suffering does he return home, and when he does, his father’s love for him is even greater. The son is the same person but transformed—awakened to his True Self.
In our daily lives, we don’t need to go through suffering to awaken. Awakening occurs when we focus on being present and observing our thoughts as watchers. Watching the mind or keeping our mind/attention inward are essentially the same.
