How to Let God Use Your Mind and Body to Manifest Your Life’s Purpose While Engaging with the World
Allowing divinity to use our mind and body and manifest the universe's purpose requires surrendering our mind completely to our Inner Being. We must not let our ego be the doer but instead become Non-Doers. Then, we will be instruments for manifesting the divine purpose.
Non-doership is not passive; it is active and dynamic, which involves abiding and resting in being. Simply being and remaining one's True self constitutes the highest form of doing. You will eliminate most non-essential actions that drain your life energy by abiding in being.
Please understand that nothing remains undone once God takes over your mind-body instrument. You will achieve liberation even while engaging with the world. It’s a practice where God utilizes your mind and body, allowing all things to be done without unnecessary mental analysis or judgment.
=> Many readers emailed me that we have families and need to function in the world with our professions. However, after awakening, the things that once gave us purpose—relationships, roles, professions, achievements, possessions—begin to feel strangely distant, as if they no longer belong to us.
They asked, “How can we let God use us to find our outer purpose in the world? How can we find the right profession or mission that deepens our awakening and gives us material prosperity, too?”
I wrote this article to answer the two questions above. First, let’s understand what inner purpose and outer purpose are!
Inner Purpose and Outer Purpose
Inner Purpose: Your inner purpose is your main purpose. It is to realize that you are an eternal awareness behind your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Awareness is the power that is hidden within the present moment. That’s why it is called Presence. Your primary purpose is not what you do but what you are — your state of awareness! Your main purpose is to bring the “power of awareness” into this world through everything you do.
Outer Purpose: Your outer purpose is secondary and concerns anything you do outwardly. In that sense, your career or profession is your outer purpose. It can change over time and vary significantly from person to person.
There are seven ways to let God use us to manifest our outer purpose in the world:
Way # 1: Shift From ‘What Do I Want?’ To ‘What Does Life Want From Me?’ Let’s understand this…
If you ask, “What Can I Get?” You Will Make a Living!
If you ask, “How Can I Give Myself to it?” You Will Make a Life.
When we manifest from ego, we tend to ask, “How can I get what I want?” While manifesting conscious outer purpose, we ask, “What does life want from me?”
When you create from ego, you seek exclusivity; when you create from the fullness of being, you embrace inclusivity. In the state of inclusiveness, you are ONE with the entire universe and create for the well-being of all.
You realize that you are not a separate fragment in this universe. You act as if everybody is ONE. There are no others. You act as if you are a mother to the world. And you treat the whole world like how you treat your own child.
Way # 2: Your Outer Purpose Must be Dynamic
Ensure your goal or vision remains dynamic and not static. A static goal often reflects an inflated self-image and can be a hidden form of ego, such as the desire to be a celebrity, a renowned author, the top boss in your firm, or a famous entrepreneur. Additionally, ensure your aim isn't simply to possess material things, like a multimillion-dollar mansion, an extravagant company, or ten million dollars in the bank.
Expanded images of yourself or visions of yourself possessing this or that are stagnant ambitions that do not empower you. Instead, ensure that your objectives are dynamic and oriented toward an activity in which you are involved and through which you are connected to the whole humanity in their service. Rather than seeing yourself as rich, famous, and invincible, envision yourself inspiring many people with your life’s work and enriching their lives.
Way # 3: Create From the Abundance of Being and Not Scarcity
When we manifest from the ego, we often experience a sense of lack or scarcity. In contrast, conscious manifestation arises from a feeling of abundance that is grounded in the fullness of our being. When a human collaborates with God–Being itself—Presence can flow into the human mind, allowing human thoughts to create authentic things, which is truly beautiful.
When you create from a state of presence, you create for the joy of creation. You love the process without worrying about the result. You create to give and serve.
Way # 4: Become an Instrument of Universal Intelligence
When you are fully present and connected with the Inner Being, you do not create alone—life creates through you. The more you surrender your personal control, the more divine intelligence guides your actions, using you as an instrument of its expression. In this state, inspiration flows effortlessly, and what needs to manifest does so with ease. This is the difference between personal will and divine will. Personal will exhaust itself through struggle; divine will moves like the wind—unseen yet powerful, without resistance.
Way # 5: Be ONE With Challenges and Difficulties
When we manifest from ego, we become angry and anxious when any situation or person arises as an obstacle. Ego treats every obstacle/ hindrance as an enemy. When we create from awareness, the obstacle is not considered an enemy. You will yield to that obstacle. This means you surrender and become ONE with it, transforming that hindrance/obstacle into an opportunity. Your suffering is never caused by the person or situation you blame. But the mind resists this truth. It wants to point outward, find fault, and blame others for pain. Yet suffering is never the result of another’s actions but of how the mind holds onto them—clinging to a story, reinforcing an identity rooted in past wounds.
Way # 6: Allow Outer Purpose to Dissolve the Ego
You don’t need to change your current profession; you need to change how you do what you do because your state of awareness is your primary purpose. But if you feel that your current profession is not the right vehicle for bringing awareness to this world, then only you should consider changing it.
Your main purpose in life is awakening. Once awakening takes over you, whatever actions arise from that state will be your outer purpose in the world. Then, any outer purpose you choose will deepen your awakening. The more you act selflessly in the outer world for that goal, the more you will connect with your inner divinity. In this way, that outer purpose will dissolve your ego and let you become one with the divine.
Just surrender yourself to something so loving that it deserves your total attention. When you have ambitions, you typically pursue a goal to achieve it. The sign of the ‘real goal or outer purpose’ is that when you attain it, you will realize the kingdom of God within. On the outer level, you will lose your ego. Unless you are fully possessed and captivated by that outer purpose, you will not permit your ego to be dismantled by that goal.
True success, then, is the absolute failure of your ego. Your ego has completely failed to protect you. Your ego tried to save itself, but it completely failed—that is ‘Real Success.’
You’ve come on this earth to serve others. However, this service must come first from inner realization, not attachment to worldly success. And you must burn yourself twice as quickly, like a candle burning from both ends. That is the goal of life: to burn with awareness, spread your light, and vanish. You were born with a lot of potential. Die empty.
Way # 7: Let Go of the Illusion of Choice—Allow the Calling to Claim You
The mind constantly shifts between ideas, leading to confusion and indecision. However, a purpose that arises from deep stillness claims you completely. It is not something you chase. Instead, you are drawn into it, becoming a vessel for its unfolding. You do not move toward the goal; the goal moves you. It becomes your guiding force, beyond personal preference or hesitation.
When purpose arises from presence, effort dissolves. You become a conduit for life itself, flowing with grace and ease. The ‘doer’ disappears, and pure Being remains—expressing, creating, living. There is no longer a need to force life; life expresses itself through you as a natural unfolding. This is the state of proper alignment, where your outer purpose is no longer a burden but a joyful surrender to the greater intelligence that is always present within you.
Let the divine claim you. Let the outer purpose arise from your being. Let the goal own you fully. That is possible only when the goal is “God.” And then whatever actions arise from that awakened state will be your outer purpose in the world.

If we can escape the captivity of the ego and its pseudo-spirituality, which is a counterfeit (religion). We can open up our hearts to love and enlightenment. Great article!
Thank you.
