Unleash The Miracle of NOT Thinking
How To Silence the Voice in Your Head and Realize God Within
Help me make it easier for others to find this publication by hitting the ❤️ at the top or bottom. Thank you for supporting this work of awakening
India’s greatest sage, Ramana Maharshi, taught the world how to dissolve compulsive thinking and silence that obsessive voice in our head.
The Best Teaching of Ramana Maharshi - The Essence of Whole Spirituality
A person once asked India's enlightened sage, Ramana Maharshi: If you were to explain to me in one sentence the secret and the essence of the whole spirituality, what would you say?
Ramana Maharshi said: Keep your Mind inward.
This secret of spirituality is so simple that your mind will reject it immediately. But be aware. Don't let your mind succeed.
What is True Non-Attachment?
To break free from the constant chatter of the mind, we must learn to let go of thoughts as soon as they arise without attaching ourselves to them. This process of non-attachment is like a pearl diver who ties a weight to sink into the ocean's depths to find precious pearls.
In the same way, we must take our mind and let it dive within our inner being to discover the true essence of who we are—that is God, our inner pearl.
This is also called the destruction of thought at the source
What is True Desirelessness and Wisdom?
Ramana Maharshi says: True Desirelessness is Not Seeking anything other than your Being. The true Wisdom is to keep your mind inward, NOT leaving the Being and always Rest in Being.
I had an awakening in 2008, which intensified during these years. But if the Universe grants me awakening today again, then I will only do this ONE practice. And that practice is "Keeping my inward into being." That’s it. Nothing else is required.
Jesus also said the same thing: Be still and know that I am God. He also said: Once you realize the kingdom of heaven within you, everything is added to you.
How Will I Care for Family and Business While on the Path of Spirituality?
The most profound practice of being spiritual while being active in the world is to "Keep your mind inward".
After hearing this, I am sure your mind is haunting you with these questions:
How will I take care of my family by keeping my mind inward?
How will I take care of my business, job, or career by keeping my mind inward?
While keeping my mind inward, How can I stop excessive and stressful thinking?
When Ramana Maharshi says to keep your mind inward, he means to keep your mind surrendered to your Inner Being. Let me repeat what he means: Keep your Mind surrendered to your inner being. The Inner Being is the Kingdom of Heaven, as per Jesus
How Does the Mind Cause Hate, Unpeace, and Misery?
The true nature of being, which is the source of life, is love, peace, and joy.
Whenever you surrender your mind within and rest it in your Being, your nature is existence, conscious, and bliss. Your mind transforms into being itself. But when the mind turns outward, it identifies with countless objects and situations, transforming into the ego and entangling itself with the thousand things of the world. Then, the true nature of Being, which is Love, Peace, and Joy, turns into its opposite: Hate, Unpeace, and Misery.
Now, your mind might be telling you, 'I want to think and think about all the beautiful things in the world. I don’t want to go inward.'
It will challenge you, saying, 'I dare you to even think of keeping me inward, in Being. I don’t want to be a prisoner of Being.'
Because the mind always wants to go outward and identify with objects. It will always give you an excuse not to surrender.
Let me Tell You The Ultimate Desire of the Mind
Ultimately, every desire of the mind is the desire to realize God. The Ego is the unconscious and unobserved mind that identifies with thought forms and material forms and tries to find God in thoughts and worldly things. Every Ego desire is a disguised desire for ultimate satisfaction and fulfillment. The Ego wants to realize the Source of all life that is being, but it goes outward to realize it. Once it turns inward, it finds its beloved and merges with the Being. Then, the mind rests into Being and realizes God.
You are awareness, which is another name for you. Since you are awareness, there is no need to attain or cultivate it. All you have to do is give up being aware of other things; that is not Being. If one gives up awareness of them, then pure awareness alone remains, which is Being.
One Thing You Need to Do to End the Excessive and Compulsive Thinking
Keeping your mind inward is the most significant way to End the Mind's occupation of identifying with things and thereby stop excessive thinking.
For us to break free from excessive thinking and realize, only two factors are necessary,
(1) The grace of God or Being
(2) Our willingness to surrender our mind inward to that grace, which is our inner Being, with utmost devotion
Of these two indispensable ingredients, the Being is always abundantly available as our inner God-Essence. The second factor, surrender our mind inwards with utmost devotion, is lacking.
The Simple Practice of Retaining the Mind Inward in Being
Do this one thing, and it will make all the difference. All the time, let your mind surrender to your inner Being. Always withdraw your attention from the outer world and rest it in your inner Being. It means keeping your attention inside your inner body. The inner body can be your inner chest, abdomen, hands, or palms. Even you can even keep your attention on your breath. Keep a minimum of 50% of your attention inside you. More mature spiritual aspirants keep 80% of their attention within and give 20% attention to the outside World.
By staying fully present and connecting with inner Being this way, God will guide your actions, freeing you from overthinking. Intuition will replace thought, quieting compulsive thinking and allowing you to thrive with minimal effort. You'll radiate life energy that would otherwise be lost to overthinking and unconscious habits. Then you will become non-doer and God will become doer of your life. Non-doership is the greatest spiritual practice and its only possible once you realize your being, keeping your mind inward
My YouTube channel has many videos in which I describe this practice of focusing one's mind on one's inner body.
Letting God Use Your Mind and Body
You cannot experience God with lukewarm devotion. To realize Being, that is God, your devotion to keeping your mind inward must be exclusive, continuous, and selfless. These will purify your mind. Once the mind is purified of all its dysfunctions, it can easily abide in Being and stay inward. Now, the mind can rest inward and lose the desire to go out in the world and find God in thousands of worldly things.
When your mind desires only God, it turns inward, merges with its source, and transcends thinking. This means you rise above good or bad thinking and attain spiritual enlightenment. Then, the Universe will utilize you to manifest its purpose in the world.
