It's a gateway to divine. You return to the source of all creation

I love this poem from Rumi:
I died as a mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was Man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?
Yet once more I shall die as Man, to soar
With angels bless’d; but even from angelhood
I must pass on: all except God doth perish.
When I have sacrificed my angel-soul,
I shall become what no mind ever conceived.
Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence
Proclaims in organ tones,
To Him we shall return.
I created a simpler version of this poem:
I once was stone, but then I grew,
A blade of grass in morning dew.
I left the earth and learned to run,
Became a beast beneath the sun.
From beast to man, I found my voice,
With heart and mind, I made my choice.
So tell me now, why should I fear,
When each death makes me clear.
Again, I'll rise beyond this human frame,
To light and love, with angel name.
But even angels fade away,
For only God will always stay.
And when I leave all forms behind,
Beyond the reach of thought or mind,
I'll rest in silence, vast and free,
Returning home—eternally.
This poem is not about death as an end but about life as a constant process of evolution. It’s saying that at every stage, you shed one form to move into another.
From being a simple rock to a plant, from a plant to an animal, and from an animal to a human being—it’s all about evolving from one energy to another. So why fear dying? It’s not the end; it’s a doorway to the wholeness.
Even as a human, the journey doesn’t stop. You grow beyond the physical, beyond the mind. You get awakened and become one with the divine while living. Remember, none of the worldly things or forms is YOU. You are an eternal being and pure awareness. This short life on this Earth does not bind you. You cannot be destroyed by weapons, fire, water, wind, or any calamity of this world.
Knowing that you are pure awareness makes you afraid of nothing. What you call birth and death are the only transformations. You manifest again and again in many forms, for life is eternal.
The ultimate step is to dissolve completely and become one with the source—the Eternal Inner Being. Non-existing in any form is not emptiness; it’s fullness. Because that’s where you return to the source of all creation.
